Joby Aviation, under a six-year exclusive agreement with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Skyports Infrastructure, is building Dubai's initial commercial air taxi network. The anchor vertiport at Dubai International Airport (DXV/DXB) reached technical completion in April 2026, becoming the first of four Dubai vertiports to hit that milestone; initial operations are targeted before the end of 2026. The 3,100-square-meter facility includes two eVTOL takeoff/landing areas and Joby's Global Electric Aviation Charging System. In November 2025, Joby confirmed additional network sites at Dubai Mall, Atlantis The Royal, and the American University of Dubai, and completed a 17-minute piloted point-to-point flight from Margham to Al Maktoum International Airport.
New York City, USA
North America
Downtown Skyport (formerly Downtown Manhattan Heliport at Pier 6, East River) was awarded to Downtown Skyport LLC — a Skyports Infrastructure and Groupe ADP joint venture — in December 2024 following a competitive NYCEDC RFP. The JV assumed operations in early 2025 and unveiled the Downtown Skyport brand on April 3, 2025. Between April 23 and May 1, 2026, Downtown Skyport hosted five Joby eVTOL landings during Joby's Electric Skies Tour, while Joby also completed New York City's first point-to-point eVTOL demo flights linking JFK with Manhattan heliports in under ten minutes. This makes NYC one of the strongest U.S. near-term AAM corridors, although commercial service still depends on certification, operating approvals, and network buildout.
Bicester (Oxfordshire), United Kingdom
Europe
Skyports Infrastructure reached operational completion of the UK's first vertiport at Bicester Motion, Oxfordshire on June 4, 2025. The 0.42-acre facility includes a 160-square-meter passenger terminal, weight/balance optimisation, identity validation and screening, a dedicated passenger lounge, and Skyports' Vertiport Automation System (VAS) for real-time scheduling. It is a key output of the UKRI-backed Advanced Mobility Ecosystem Consortium (Future Flight Challenge) and will serve as a living lab for eVTOL ground infrastructure and flight operations testing. Demonstration flights of Vertical Aerospace's VX4 prototype are planned for 2026 as part of the ORAT (Operational Readiness and Testing) phase.
Los Angeles, USA

Saudi Arabia is advancing eVTOL deployment on two parallel tracks. First, at Dubai Airshow 2025 (November 2025), Archer Aviation signed an MoU with The Helicopter Company (THC, a PIF company) and Red Sea Global (RSG) to establish a regulatory sandbox for Midnight eVTOL test flights, assessing aircraft performance, operational feasibility, regulatory alignment, and passenger acceptance, with Red Sea Global's regenerative tourism destinations as the initial operating environment. Second, Saudi Arabia's national aviation regulator GACA signed a separate agreement with Archer to create a formal regulatory pathway for eVTOL deployment modeled on the FAA's eIPP program, targeting early operations in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Red Sea Global gigaprojects in support of Saudi Vision 2030. This represents one of the fastest-moving national regulatory programs globally for eVTOL commercialization.
Goyang / Kintex, South Korea
Asia Pacific
South Korea plans its first commercial UAM vertiport near Kintex in Goyang, with phased construction of passenger terminals and hangars expected to begin in 2027. This sits within Korea's broader K-UAM commercialization push and should be tracked separately from test corridors because it is a named commercial vertiport site.
Côte d'Azur, France
Europe
UrbanV lists Côte d'Azur as one of its active vertiport networks, where the existing helicopter network is expected to be leveraged and expanded for AAM operations. Publicly available information remains high-level, so this should be tracked as Expected until specific sites, permits, operators, or construction milestones are published.
Jeju Island, South Korea
Asia Pacific
Skyports states that it is developing Korea's first vertiport network in Jeju Island, with commercial operations targeted for 2028. Public detail on site count and permitting is still limited, but the program is notable because it appears in Skyports' own 2026 global project pipeline.
