Overview
Archer Aviation was selected in May 2025 as the official air taxi provider for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Team USA, with planned hubs at SoFi Stadium/Inglewood, Memorial Coliseum/USC, LAX, Hollywood, Orange County and Santa Monica. Archer announced in November 2025 that it would acquire control of Hawthorne Airport, near LAX, as a strategic LA network hub and AI aviation testbed, then reported completion of the first phase of those transactions in December 2025. This is one of the strongest U.S. deployment stories, but commercial passenger service remains dependent on FAA certification and operational approvals.
