Overview
Expo 2025 Osaka included an EXPO Vertiport operated by ORIX for Advanced Air Mobility demonstrations, with scheduled flights by LIFT, SkyDrive and ANA/Joby. SkyDrive subsequently reported SD-05 demonstration flights at Expo 2025 and at Osakako Vertiport, a dedicated eVTOL facility built by Osaka Metro next to Osaka Bay. In May 2026, SkyDrive and partners launched Japan's first consortium for vertiport operations focused on leveraging this Osaka/Osakako infrastructure.
