Overview
Jet Systems Hélicoptères Service and Volocopter partnered for eVTOL operations, with a crewed test flight in August 2024 at Saint-Cyr-l'École vertiport and a temporary River Seine vertiport authorized through late 2024. Volocopter filed for insolvency in December 2024, but was acquired by China's Wanfeng Group (owner of Diamond Aircraft) in March 2025. Under new ownership, Volocopter is resuming its EASA certification process with Diamond Aircraft's certification team providing key support. France's vertiport infrastructure remains in place and Jet Systems has committed to purchasing VoloCity aircraft. The Saint-Cyr-l'École vertiport and planned Austerlitz river vertiport remain viable as of May 2026.
